11/26/2024 Updating on Aug. 26, 2025: The work Dr. Antoine did on my mouth in November has caused my teeth to shift. I had braces 15 years ago and my teeth haven't shifted once, but the work he did on the root of my tooth has rearranged my mouth. I am serious, you want to avoid this place at all cost. I'm now looking at thousands of dollars in expenses AND I still need a gum graft.
I would like to add that I have never been outreached by this team for patient experience recovery.

My experience with Team Perio has been disappointing.
When I made the appointment for my gum flap surgery, I asked simple questions like, "What will my recovery time be like," "Will I have stitches," etc. The scheduler was unable to answer any of these questions and let me know that someone will call me the week before my surgery. That left me with little time to prepare for the outcomes of this surgery. My consultation for the surgery had been over 6 months before, so you can imagine that a lot of the details had escaped me.
The day before my surgery at 5:30 p.m., I was sent a text message to e-sign a consent form for the surgery. On that form I saw for the first time the total estimated cost of the surgery and what my insurance would cover. My surgery was the next day at 8 a.m., and since the office is only open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., I did not have the opportunity to call and ask questions about the form I was sent. One of my main questions is why I was responsible for paying $100 for a sedative prescription that was sent to a pharmacy and covered by my RX benefits. Still don't have the answer to that one.
When I walked into the office the day of the surgery, I was immediately told that I owed my out-of-pocket share of $1,000. Please note that I was on a heavy dose of Ativan as that is what they prescribed as a sedative before the surgery. I was not in the right mental state to make a decision about which form of payment I wanted to make.
I was taken back to the procedure room by Sarah, a sterilization technician who was really the only saving grace of my entire visit. She was kind and treated me with decency.
Dr. Antoine, however, did not. I am surprised to see so many positive reviews about him. Maybe he was having an off day, but during my procedure, he came in and just started working on my mouth. He didn't look me in the eye, greet me, confirm the procedure we were doing, ask my name/DOB, etc.
When the surgery was over, he left Sarah to give me after-care instructions. I wasn't given typed-up instructions detailing after-care beyond 48 hours, even though I was told I'd have my stitches for a month with vague details on whether they'd fall out or not (I can't remember what they said, truthfully).
Finally, I never received a follow-up call to ask how I was doing. This is a standard in healthcare and feels like a simple touchpoint to make sure your patient is ok.
I will follow up with this review if I receive a response or any service recovery from Team Perio. I believe I will have to return to get my stitches removed, and I'm hopeful that's a better experience. Caroline Ackerman Google

11/09/2024 Everyone in the office is very friendly and nice!! Proceedure was quick and painless. I wish they would have tried a little harder to get the gas working for me. Other than that it was the best you could hope for when getting a tooth pulled. Josh Damon Google
11/07/2024 Wonderful front office Staff, they greet you soon as you walk in the door. NO multiple other patients that appear to be frustrated and angry. The waiting room is so clean and comfy. Dental Assistant so very calm, answering all possible questions prior to seeing Dr.Nathan Antoine, who was so kind. Did not appear to be rushed, answered multiple questions regarding next process. I have extreme dental anxiety, Dr. Antoine assured me he will take care of me and I believe him. I feel calmer already, knowing that this is their priority goal - to make dental work as less stressful for their patients as possible. i o Google
